Dr. Xuan Zhan joined Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in June 2026, where he was appointed as an Associate Professor, doctoral supervisor, and independent PI. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2020. Subsequently, from 2021 to early 2026, he conducted postdoctoral and research work at the School of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), BGI Research Institute, and Sun Yat-sen University, accumulating a solid research background in organic synthesis, photocatalysis, and biochemistry. He has published multiple papers as the first author in internationally renowned journals such as Coord. Chem. Rev., Adv. Sci., ACS Nano, Anal. Chem., and Cell Rep. Phys. Sci. He has led and participated as a core member in multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation. His team will be committed to interdisciplinary research on the molecular engineering of corrole complexes, bioinorganic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and energy catalysis.
